既有今日，何必当初[ jì yǒu jīn rì，hé bì dāng chū ]

⒈  既【jì】然有今日的如此结果，何必在当初【chū】那【nà】么做。用以感慨现今的【de】不如意【yì】，而【ér】深悔过去的【de】错误。

例宝玉在身后面叹道：“既有今日，何必当初。”——《红楼梦》
